Now Building…

#EmbodyAbolition #BuildManyWorlds
Abolition is a practice not a deliverable. Created in collaboration with Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, #EmbodyAbolition #BuildManyWorlds is a practice space that explores what embodying abolition looks like in action. We also explore and co-create abolition technology projects that integrate music, teatro, and more.

Abolition Tech
Because #TechIsNotNeutral, we make space to build with movement workers not for them. Together we move away from Big Tech and the Stalker State. Through projects, workshops, and tools, we keep our digital bodies safe. We keep our data bodies safe. We keep our movements safe.

Revolt At Home
Another world is possible. There are many roles in the many worlds we are building together. There is a place for everyone. The revolution starts at home. We are creating tools and resources to help us talk to our families, build relationships, and practice being autonomous and self-governing.

BIPOC Healers Network
#CareTechnologies sustain our life force. Bodies most impacted by state violence need emotional, mental, spiritual healing. Systems of domination need to be dismantled for our collective health and dignity. But trauma is not our only collective inheritance. We also have intergenerational legacies of healing. We are co-building an autonomous network of BIPOC Healers that uplift ancestral healing technologies for our liberation.

People’s Tech Project
Respectful technologies lead to healthy relationships with all tech modalities. The People’s Tech Project aims to cultivate healthy tech environments that uplift autonomous communities and people power. Our respectful technologies framework guides our work to ensure historically-excluded communities lead the building of these healthy technologies. We imagine regenerative tech infrastructures owned by the people that also care for our land and ocean bodies—today and seven generations from now.

Locales
For communities of color, being dependent on the current Capitalist economic system is dangerous and hazardous to our health and to our lives. Locales is a digital platform and a Just Transition practice space that centers and uplifts small local businesses owned by people of color. Together we work to build local regenerative economies that radically center and sustain communities of color while reducing harm to our environments, near and far.

Our Vision

We imagine a world with many worlds that center the health and dignity of all bodies. A world where Black and Indigenous people are free. A world where the bodies of all living beings— bodies of plants, animals, water, and land—are cared for through regenerative systems.

But we are shaped by the conditions that we live in. And we didn’t arrive at this moment by accident. We can point to the people— mostly cis wealthy white men— who violently implemented their imaginations onto our lived experiences. Their imaginations resulted in a global design of what Phyllis J. Jackson has coined as interlocking systems of domination— patriarchy, capitalism, white supremacy, heteronormativity, ableism, White-Euro Christianity, and nationalism/citizenship. These systems of domination are well practiced in extraction and causing harm.

Color Coded’s work explores how we can inhabit our bodies differently, despite our current harmful world design. As we dismantle our extractive and carceral society, our work also explores building many worlds for the sake of our collective liberation. Because none of us have lived outside of colonization, this is a messy process. We must use our radical imaginations. Rigor and intentionality are necessary as we practice embodying abolition in order to strive for the health and dignified lives of all bodies.
